Final Project.

Do you ever wonder how healthy the food you are eating is? Well, you would be surprised to hear that your main diet is not the healthiest one. Obesity is rapidly increasing in the United States, and is becoming a very large problem.

Obesity is a condition where excess fat has been accumulated to the extent where it just isn't healthy for the person. Many things can cause obesity such as; diet, inactivity, genetics, and pshychology. Also, technological advances have made citizens weight struggle. These advances are; remote controls, elevators, escalators, auto mobiles, and drive-thrus.
Some ways that we can fix this problem are very simple, though they might be a little difficult to get used to. These solutions consist of; healthy diet, exercise, and good mental health. For a healthy diet you need to be sure to eat alot of grains, fruits, veggies, lean meats and other low fat items. Also, lots of water! There are known phsicological aspects that also contribute to obesity. Often these people eat when depressed or others are impulsive and disregard their diet and exercise plans.

Some statistics have shown that among adolescents obesity increased significantly during a 6 year period from 1999 to 2004. Also the estimated number of anual deathes attributed to obesity among US adults is approximately 280,000. Kind of scary, don't you think?
There are many ways that we can turn this around. Say no to all the eating out and start making dinner at home, it is healtier and is good family time. It will be difficult, but once you get into the swings of healthy food, and exercise you won't want to change back to your old ways! Be healthy!!

Nicki Minaj interview questions.

For class we have to ask someone some interview questions. I thought of Nicki Minaj because I enjoy her music, and she is an interesting person. I have watched some videos of her on Youtube and thought up some of my own questions that I would ask her.

  • Why do you have alter egos?
  • Why do you always wear crazy wigs?
  • What is the beef between you and Lil Kim?
  • If you could rap with anyone of your choice who would it be?
  • How did you get discovered?
  • How long have you been making music?
  • What are your plans for the future?
  • If you could have any other job what would it be?
  • What is it like working with such accomplished musicians?
  • What is it like going from rags to riches?
  • How has this whole experience changed you as a person?
Those are just a few of my questions.

Here is an Interview to watch if you want to learn about her.

There is also a couple videos on MTV.com that take you into her life. Here is a link. Nicki Minaj - My Time Now main page.

McDonalds is delicious, but not so nutritious...

McDonald's is by far my favorite place to eat. It is so yummy. But, it is most certainly not a healthy place to eat.
Yes, McDonald's is a fast convenient meal. It is also very satisfying in taste. Do you really wonder how bad it is for you though? Below is a picture of the McDonald's nutrition facts of everything on its menu. Looking at this should make you realize how much you are taking in from such a small portion of food.
Today the United States is suffering from obesity. Every one is always on the move, and when you get hungry you need something that will be quick. Well, quick isn't always the best choice for your health. Ever wonder how well this food is breaking down in your body? Check out this video and rethink what you are putting in your body...

Last reason as to why McDonald's is not a good choice. There mascot is a creepy clown. Why take food from a grown man wearing face paint? It draws in kids just like the happy meals which will start kids with bad eating habits at a young age. Normally ending up with an obesity problem.

Yes, McDonald's is fast, yummy, and cheap. But, it is not good for you in the long run. If you are really desperate for some fast food, pack a lunch or something.
